Description
|
UTILITY ASSISTANCE: Provides eligible households (renters and homeowners) financial assistance with heating and/or electric costs and referrals to the weatherization program.
SERVICES:
MEAP (Maryland Energy Assistance Program): Provides grants toeligible families, renters, roomers, boarders and homeowners toward the cost ofheating in the winter and electricity year round. Grant is based on the type offuel used, household size, household income and annual consumption.
EUSP (Electrical Universal Service Program): Offers year-round assistance with electric costs. Client is required to have bill in his/her own name and be on a monthly budget billing plan. Assistance may be available for past due bill payments.
GARA (Gas Arrearage RetirementAssistance): Assists with past dueportion of gas utility bill.
ELIGIBILITY FOR MEAP and EUSP: Maryland residents whose gross monthly household incomes are within the following limits:
