Description
|
EARLY HEAD START: Provides a childcare center on-site while parents work on obtaining their GED and job training courses. Offers encouragement and support to parents to be involved in their children's education. Staff makes home visits to help the parents make their home and its surrounding a learning environment. Families are also educated about nutrition, health and development screenings. During home visits to pregnant women, staff educates them about pre-natal care, fetal development, labor/delivery and breast feeding.
