The Temporary Infirmed program is designed to assist individuals who are temporarily unable to work due to illness or injury. Individuals must be "job attached." TI participants are provided with case management, support services, rental assistance and referrals to other community agencies as needed for up to three months while recuperating from an illness or injury.
Qualified applicants must: - Be a Missoula County resident;
- Qualify for SNAP (food stamps) and meet the income criteria for a Interim Assistance Program number (generally this means that an individual must earn less than $282 per month);
- Have an illness or injury that is temporarily prohibiting their ablility to work;
- Be ineligible for all other forms of assistance (for example: an individual with dependent children must apply for a TANF cash grant at the Office of Public Assistance).
