Description

Provides free tax preparation and e-filing services by trained volunteers. Serves Shasta, Siskiyou, and surrounding county residents. For those who meet at least one of these criteria: - Low-to-middle income
- Seniors
- People with disabilities.
Also helps qualifying individuals and families access the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). AARP Tax Aide volunteers are typically available February through April 15th.
Please note: Call to reserve appointment. Print and complete Intake Form prior to appointment. Intake form is also available at the Redding Library.
Provides free coaching to help one prepare their own taxes online. Also offers access to free software. One may e-file taxes on their own for free at: taxaide.aarpfoundation.org. Click "Prepare my own taxes online," "Request Help" or "Access Software."
