Description

The Immigrant Services Program (ISP) targets our services to assist immigrants, refugees, asylees, and new arrivals who are living in low-income households, have language and/or cultural barriers, and need assistance in accessing community resources. However, we do assist others as staff time is available. Direct services, case management, and referrals are provided to clients to help them gain self-sufficiency.
Examples of our services include: • Job development services • Referrals to adult ESL classes and tutoring • Help with understanding and accessing community resources • Assistance with completing applications • Help with accessing healthcare and childcare providers • Referrals to in-house SNAP and health insurance application appointments • Referrals to tax preparation programs including ITIN applications • Assistance with completing notices regarding social services and public benefits
Catholic Charities is recognized by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Homeland Security as a non-profit agency that can provide low-cost legal immigration services. Services are fee-based, and we offer a sliding scale for individuals who are living in low-income households. We are affiliated with the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC).
The program director is accredited by the DOJ to provide legal immigration services. Those services include: • Address change • Affidavit of Support • Alien Relative Petition • Certificate of Citizenship • Citizenship & Naturalization Services • Consular Processing, Visa Family Petitions • Employment Authorization (EAD) • FOIA Request & Analysis • Legal Consultations • Marriage Based Adjustment of Status • Permanent Residency (green cards) • Provisional Waivers • Refugee Adjustment of Status • Removals of Conditions on Residence • Replacement of Naturalization Certificate • Temporary Protective Status • Travel Documents
