The Child Development Council is developing strategies to match essential personnel (health care workers, emergency responders) to child care options. If you are an essential personnel, contact info@childdevelopmentcouncil.org or (607)273-0259 for referral services.

CDC will be closed to the public (no walkins, no group workshops, no home visits except to drop off food or supplies). Those who need services or support can call us at (607)273-0259 or email. General inquiries can be addressed to info@childdevelopmentcouncil.org. This will remain until 3/31 and may be extended into April or beyond.

All trainings, workshops and group meetings are cancelled until further notice. We will continue to connect our child care providers with online learning opportunities.

We will not be conducting non-essential site/home visits until further notice. We will continue child care inspections where necessary, and deliver food and resources to those enrolled in our programs.

Paperwork to enroll in Legally Exempt Care, Child Care Food Program or other business may be left in the drop box at 609 West Clinton Street (Tompkins County) or placed under the door at Room 205 Cortland Grange (Cortland County).  General delivery mail and the drop box will be checked Monday through Friday.

We will be monitoring child care closings and availability. Updates will be posted at www.childdevelopmentcouncil.org.
