Current testing options in Tompkins County:
Shops at Ithaca Mall (CLOSED PERMANENTLY 5/11/2023)-
Pharmacies- most local pharnacies offer drive thru testing. Call ahead or check their websites for specific info. Pharmacies also carry rapid test kits, may be covered by individual insurance
WellNow- 740 S Meadow St Ithaca, Walk in Clinic available, no appointment needed (wait times could be long)
Smith Allergy 2430 N Triphammer Rd 607-684-6115, rapid testing by appointment must have symptoms, does not need to be current patient. Offered in Cortland, Ithaca and Horseheads and normally same day or net day availability (Updated 12/20/2021)
Primary Care Drs- have callers check with their Drs for availability if they have primary care in place
Cayuga Medical Emergency Room 101 Dates Dr,- call ahead for procedure 607-274-4011
Free Rapid Test Kits: Jan 2022- Home test kits and KN95 masks available at local libraries and town village clerk outside of Ithaca, call ahead for availability - people who have not done so can order another 8 test kits for free at https://special.usps.com/testkits
- Also suggest checking their health insurance if tests are covered at participating pharmacies, many pharmacies participate in Medicare Part B offering up to 8 free tests per month

OPTIONS FOR TRANSPORTATION OR COVID TEST KIT DELIVERY - If they are testing for work or travel or otherwise do not have symptoms, they can take the bus and walk up to the test site. If they do not live on a bus route, refer to option below for test kit delivery
- If they are testing for an upcoming operation or medical procedure, you can connect them to Gadabout 607-273-1878. Be sure that they are over 55 (most will be for this need) and that they tell Gadabout that the testing is for Pre-op
- If they are testing for symptoms, or do not fit the categories above, the health dept has a staff person that can bring them a rapid test kit.
