FREED offers programs and resources for seniors and people with disabilities.

FREED services include
  • Assisting people with making decisions about their short- or long-term care needs
  • Assistance with tools and devices to support daily living including an Equipment Reuse Program, a Device Lending Library, and a Vendor Services Directory
  • Making minor home repairs and modifications that support seniors and people with disabilities through the Fix It Program
  • Benefits Counseling and planning to help sharpen Independent Living Skills and Youth Services
  • Access to computers and the internet, a Friendly Visitors Program, advocacy, information and referral to help answer questions about disability related needs and issues
FREED’s Mission is to eliminate barriers to full equality for people with disabilities through programs which promote independent living and effect systems change, while honoring dignity and self determination. FREED is a gateway to expanded choices and options at any age. They have a number of programs centering around issues that arise with aging and disabilities.  They work with you and your family to figure out what you need, know your choices, and get connected.

FREED is a Independent Living Center and a lead agency for the Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC).
