Agency: HOSPITALITY HOUSE

Resource Number: 4656521
Alternate name: Foothill House of Hospitality; Utah's Place

Description
Hospitality House offers a year-round, temporary, overnight emergency shelter for homeless residents of Western Nevada County who have lived in the area for 45 days or more. Provides food, shelter, and comprehensive case management services and referrals.

Hospitality House shelters men, women, and children every night and offers connection to many community resources and agencies that together help Hospitality House's guests to regain self-sufficiency and move into permanent housing.

Hospitality House began in 2005 when concerned Nevada County citizens came together to help individuals struggling with homelessness, relying solely on private donations. After operating as a nomadic shelter for eight years, Hospitality House opened Utah’s Place in 2013. It became the first and only permanent homeless shelter in all of Nevada County, and remains the only year-round emergency shelter.
