Description
State agency administers the incarceration of individuals prior to trial, and the incarceration and rehabilitation of convicted individuals during the term of their imposed sentence. Victim Services Unit of the Department of Correction provides counseling and support to crime victims and others affected by a crime once the offender has been incarcerated. Office of Victim Services of the Judicial Branch provides services to victims during the accused person's pretrial and trial period. Parole and Community Services oversee the enforcement of parole to ensure that the parolee remains crime free.
