Description
Provides phone screening, face-to-face assessment (when indicated) and referral for children ages 3 to 18 who are in crisis, still in school, or in the custody of the Department of Community Based Services (DCBS).

Intensive brief treatment and/or crisis respite services are offered as an alternative to hospitalization. Manages admissions to inpatient facilities for children eligible under the DCBS custody, Medicaid recipients, and the indigent.

Makes admissions to the child Crisis Stabilization Unit when appropriate. Serves entire state of Kentucky for referrals and consultations. Also schedules intake appointments for children becoming first-time clients in the Specialized Child & Family division of Seven Counties.

Also answers the Child Access line Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. (502) 589-1100, option 2.
