Description
Provides an 12-bed, intensive, short-term in-patient program for children and adolescents ages 3-18 in emotional or behavioral crisis. Designed for seriously emotionally disabled youth who require intervention beyond outpatient services but who do not require long-term hospitalization. The stay is 5-10 days (typically 5-7 days). Goals of the program include stabilizing acute psychiatric symptoms so that hospitalization is avoided, and providing appropriate referrals to outpatient treatment.
