Provides temporary cash aid to eligible adults without minor dependents. Serves those who do not qualify for other public assistance. Provides:

  • Three months of assistance to eligible, employable adults.
  • Longer-term assistance to eligible adults:
    • Who have a temporary disability
    • Who have a long-term disability and are awaiting Supplemental Security Income (SSI) approval.

General Relief assistance is considered a loan and must be repaid.
