Description

SERVICE COORDINATION: Provides home visiting services for first time moms and their babies until they are two years old. To qualify for the Baltimore City Health Department’s Maternal and Infant Care’s Nurse Family Partnership (NFP), participants must live in Baltimore City, be 28 weeks or less pregnant and be age 13-26. Parents receives guidance on having a healthy pregnancy, developmental milestones for the baby, and linkages to other programs. Education is also provided on effects of smoking, alcohol and drugs, preparing for labor and delivery, postpartum depression; parent/child relationships, intimate partner violence, environmental and home safety, pregnancy planning, and immunizations.
