DISABILITY RELATED EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS: Provides transition and pre-employment services for students with disabilities. Offers help to job seekers with physical, emotional, intellectual, developmental, sensory and learning disabilities by providing programs and services to help them get ready for employment, go to work, and maintain employment, by providing services such as career assessment and counseling, assistive technology, job training, higher education and job placement. Also works with Maryland Businesses to help them hire/retain qualified employees with disabilities.

INDEPENDENT LIVING COMMUNITIES/COMPLEXES: Provides independent living services to individuals who are 55 or older and who are blind or have a vision impairment through the Independent Living Older Blind program.

Eligibility: In order to be eligible for DORS employment or student employment services, you must have a physical or mental disability that seriously affects your ability to work, and you must need employment rehabilitation services in order to get or keep a job.
