 OVERVIEW: Provides financial guidance, credit and debt counseling, housing counseling, educational programs and bankruptcy counseling and education services, to consumers via phone, internet and in-person sessions.

SERVICES:
1) CREDIT COUNSELING: Offers help with budgeting, money management and credit issues through online, telephone and in-person counseling. A credit counselor helps assess finances and works to create a livable budget to balance income with expenses. They will help to develop a plan to achieve personal financial goals.

2) DEBT MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE: Offers a Debt Management Plan (DMP) that helps you resolve credit problems and pay down debt. When appropriate, MMI serves as an impartial intermediary negotiating with creditors to establish a reasonable and mutually acceptable repayment plan.

3) HOUSING COUNSELING: MMI is a HUD-approved housing counseling agency and offers the following:
-Foreclosure/Mortgage Delinquency and Loss Mitigation Counseling
-Home Equity Conversion Counseling or Reverse Mortgage Counseling
-Project Porchlight Disaster Recovery Counseling
-Pre-Purchase Housing Counseling
-Homebuyer Education Programs

4) FINANCIAL EDUCATION SERVICES: Consumer education programs for adults and students are offered on topics such as budgeting, credit education, credit fraud, first-time homebuyer education, and setting financial goals, in some local communities and online.
