Description

EARLY INTERVENTION: Provides an array of early intervention services for children and their families birth to the age of three. An option to extend services through to the beginning of the school year following a child's fourth birthday exist for children determined eligible for preschool special education. Children who are experiencing a developmental delay, or who have an established condition are eligible. It is through everyday routines and activities that service providers work with and support family members and caregivers to enhance the learning and development of the children in the program. Services for eligible children and families may include: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Special Instruction, Audiology, Family Counseling and Training, and Vision Services.

Program Delivery
Eligibility: An evaluation and assessment is conducted. Children must have a 25% delay in at least one area of development (cognitive, communication, social-emotional, self-help, fine motor, gross motor) atypical development in at least one or more areas of development (cognitive, communication, social-emotion, self-help, fine motor, gross motor) or a high probability of delay due to a diagnosed medical or physical condition. Normal Wait Time: 45 days or less from the date of referral to write an Individualized Family Service Plan. If eligible for services, 30 days or less from date of the signed document.
