CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT: Provides services which establish and enforce child support orders, including location of the non-custodial parent. Searches for the non-custodial parent, proves the paternity of the child, gets a court order for support, collects support payments, enforces the court order and reviews and modifies the court order. Suspends driver's license and intercepts income taxes of delinquent parent. Persons applying for Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA) must file for child support before they can receive cash assistance.

Eligibility: Parent of child under age 18.

Application Process: Application available at https://dhs.maryland.gov/child-support-services/
Payment methods:
Program Fees: $15 application fee. Fees are waived for Medical Assistance and TCA recipients.
Documents Required: Photo id, proof of address, birth certificate for the child, child's social security card, proof of paternity (if any) and information about the absent parent.
