Description
FOSTER CARE PLACEMENT: Provides child placement in foster homes or group homes when it is clearly determined that the child(ren) can no longer remain in their own homes. Placements are court-ordered or through voluntary parent agreement depending on the nature of the case. Returning home is the primary focus of DSS.

FOSTER HOME LICENSING: A program that requires licenses for those families providing 24-hour care for non-related children. Once approved, foster parents receive board payments, a Medical Assistance card and a clothing allowance for the support of the foster child.
