Description
EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE: Provides emergency cash assistance (grant) to families with children. Assists with court-ordered evictions, foreclosures, utility cut-offs, water bills and burial assistance (up to $650) and may be used only once in a 24-month period. Also available are funds for those who have experienced an official disaster, hurricane, flood, or fire. Also provides individual, marital and family counseling to help deal with parent/child conflicts and other family relationship problems. Does not provide financial assistance to those who are living in Section 8/public housing. Children 18-21 must be enrolled full-time in school.
