Description
There are two steps to obtain a Connecticut State Permit to Carry Pistols and Revolvers:
1. Applicants must first obtain a Local Pistol Permit from their local police department, city or town hall or first selectman's office.
2. Once you have a Local Pistol Permit, you can apply for the Connecticut State Permit to Carry Pistols and Revolvers.
NOTE: Some weapons have special registration rules, and some weapons are completely prohibited in the State of Connecticut. Call the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection's Special Licensing and Firearms Unit for special information about firearms other than handguns.
