Program Delivery
Eligibility: Annually: Property Tax Relief: Ages 65+ or totally disabled, one year's Connecticut residency; Call city/town for specific income eligibility guidelines (figures change annually); No asset limit; Veterans Real or Personal Property Tax Exemption: At least 90 days wartime service, Connecticut residency; Low income and/or disabled veterans are eligible for higher exemptions. 2024: New Property Tax Exemption for Veterans with a P&T Disability: The law fully exempts from property tax either (1) a dwelling the veteran owns and lives in as his or her primary residence or, (2) if the veteran does not own a dwelling, one motor vehicle he or she owns and keeps in this state
