Town clerk's office issues birth certificates, marriage licenses, civil union licenses, death certificates, burial permits, and fishing and hunting licenses. Town clerk's offices in Connecticut maintain a list of registered Notaries Public. In addition, handles the recording of land records and maps, as well as accepting the filing of voter registration cards, veteran discharge records, trade name registrations (DBAs), liquor permits, and minutes and agendas for town meetings.
