Several guaranty funds for Real Estate, New Home Improvement, Health Clubs, Itinerant Vendors, and New Home Construction protect consumers against losses related to these regulated business categories. Home Improvement Guaranty Fund provides homeowners seeking reimbursement for unfinished or poorly done contractor's work with up to $15,000 in damages. Contractor must have been registered with the Dept. of Consumer Protection at the time the contract was signed or within two years before the date of execution of the contract or at the time of your court judgement.
