Description
TAA program provides assistance to TAA-eligible workers to enable them to return to suitable employment as quickly as possible. TAA benefits include income support through Trade Readjustment Allowances (TRA), Health Coverage Tax Credits (HCTC), training, job search allowances, relocation allowances, and in some instances Alternative Trade Adjustment Assistance (ATAA) which is a wage subsidy.

Program Delivery
Eligibility: Individuals must have been employed by a company whose workers were certified as having been adversely affected by foreign trade; Contact an American Job Center for specific eligibility criteria or obtain general TAA information online at: http://www.ctdol.state.ct.us/TradeAct/default.htm
Application Process: Petitions may be filed by a group of three or more workers, a company official, or partners including State Workforce Agencies and dislocated worker units, or by a union or duly-
authorized representative of the workers; Forms are available at local American Job Centers OR online at
http://www.doleta.gov/tradeact/petitions.cfm#1
