Description
Funds free statewide screening program for early detection of breast or cervical cancer. Program is for uninsured or underinsured women who have income at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level. Screenings are done at contracted hospitals and health services provider sites. Women found to have breast or cervical cancer or pre-cancerous conditions can have treatment for the condition for no fee and without regard to income or assets.
In addition, the Well-Integrated Screening and Evaluation for Women Across the Nation (WISEWOMAN) program is designed to help women ages 35-64, reduce their risk for heart disease and promote a heart-healthy lifestyle.  Screening and evaluations take place at area hospitals and community clinics.

Program Delivery
Eligibility: MAMMOGRAM: Women ages 35-64, or under age 35 with symptoms and/or specific risk factors;
CLINICAL BREAST EXAM AND PAP TEST: Women ages 21-64;
FOR BOTH SCREENINGS: Must have income at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level; Must have no insurance or insurance that does not provide coverage for Pap tests and/or mammograms or have a high insurance deductible
NOTE: Program sites will determine eligibility, including risk assessment
WISEWOMAN program: 35-64 year old, same income at or below 250%
