Description

Registers all births, deaths, marriages, fetal death events and civil unions occurring in Connecticut and occurring to out-of-state Connecticut residents. Program also processes adoptions and legitimation cases, and provides certified copies of records to authorized persons, and certified copy of birth certificate for persons born in Connecticut. Birth certificates are also obtainable at vital statistics office of town in which event occurred or town of residence of biological mother. Persons born outside of Connecticut, must call or write the town clerk in the town of birth for copies of birth certificate.
