Description
Two level II group homes serve female adolescents  in Wethersfield and Terryville. Nia Sage in Wethersfield and Phoenix House in Terryville utilize DBT in the treatment of girls with severe trauma histories. Group homes allow female adolescents ages 14 through 20 who have been receiving treatment from higher or lower levels of care to learn about living together in a family-like setting and becoming responsible adults who contribute to their communities. Individual, group, and family therapy are offered to address personal and social issues and help smooth the client's transition into adulthood. Residents are also provided with groups around life skills and healthy sexuality to encourage their ability to lead healthy, productive lives.
