Description
Provides services for girls ages 17 through 20 who are involved with DCF and/or the juvenile justice system. Wish is a dorm-style living environment with 24/7 staffing that is designed to support growth, help girls navigate the daily and often historical struggles they faced, and ensure that they learn how to become capable young adults. A trauma-informed, structured program provides a safe environment for girls, and services to focus on teaching the skills necessary to transition to a more independent living arrangement and self-sufficiency. Youth attend school in the community and benefit from a life skills lessons, therapeutic, empowering and substance abuse groups and one-on-one work with staff and a clinician.
