Description
Intensive in-home therapeutic intervention for children ages 9-18, who have a history of substance abuse or who are at risk of abusing substances, who have an extensive treatment history that has not stabilized the child, who are in need of an intervention in order to be maintained safely in the community, and who do not currently require inpatient care. Purpose of the program is to keep the child from being hospitalized or being placed in a residential treatment facility. Eligible children are abusing substances or are at risk of using substances, have conduct disorders/oppositional defiant behaviors, and are in need of intensive home services. Child's family must be willing to participate in the treatment plan.

Program Delivery
Eligibility: Resident of Andover, Bloomfield, Bolton, East Granby, East Hartford, East Windsor, Ellington, Enfield, Glastonbury, Granby, Hartford, Hebron, Manchester, Marlborough, Somers, South Windsor, Stafford, Suffield, Tolland, Vernon, Windsor, Windsor Locks; Children ages 8-18 who have a history of substance abuse or who are at risk of abusing substances, who have conduct disorders/oppositional defiant behaviors, and who are at imminent risk of hospitalization or placement in a residential treatment facility; Younger children can be considered if they meet the other criteria
Application Process: Families, social service agencies can call agency directly
Program Fees: Set fee; Ability to pay not an obstacle to service
