Description
Apprenticeship training programs provide on-the-job training with related classroom instruction to prepare workers for skilled industry related jobs. Programs developed by regional workforce development boards are operated by private industry, employer or labor/management sponsored companies who train workers in construction, manufacturing and service sector positions, ie, healthcare. Training programs range from one to six or more years and wages are earned while in the training program. A certificate is provided by the sponsors upon completion of the program.
