Provides programs and services to help individuals with disabilities, their family members, educators, employers and other entities have greater access to Assistive Technology devices and services in CT. Services include general information, resources and referrals, AT Device Demonstrations, AT Device Lending, Recycling of AT, assistance in finding funding to purchase AT the Assistive Technology Loan Program to borrow funds to purchase AT, distribution of telecommunications equipment to individuals who are Deaf and Blind, and more. Assistive Technology Loan Program is a financial loan for individuals with disabilities and/or family members that could receive assistance with a low interest loan up to $30,000 for items like hearing aids, scooters, modified vehicles. Access Through Technology provides a grant for telecommunication devices for individuals that are deaf/blind. This program provides free equipment including smartphones, tablets, computers, braille displays, and more to people who meet federal disability and income guidelines.
