Description
Provides educational services for children who are blind or visually impaired, from birth through high school, and consultation services for students, parents, local boards of education, and the community. Assists in planning and developing special education programs for students who are blind or visually impaired who are enrolled in public, private and residential educational programs as well as helps school districts by providing specialized educational texts (Braille and large print) by loaning from the resource center or purchasing the materials from vendors for loan. Braille Unit produces Braille materials for children and adults that are BESB clients when requested at no cost.
