Description
Primary focus of this program is to provide the skills needed for independent living for adults with disabilities. Program provides instruction and support to participants in the following areas: cooking, house cleaning, use of public transportation, personal hygiene, banking skills, finding and keeping a job, community service, environmental awareness, social skills and study skills. Services are offered as part of a residential program, a day program and an in-home program. Services can be tailored to fit an individual's specific needs.
Additional information: Upon completion at this level, New Beginnings offers an "Advancement Program" which places individuals into a community-based apartment living situation.
