COMPANION SERVICES: Provides assistance to adults with physical, emotional, or mental health limitations, most are older adults. Senior Companions are volunteers age 60 years of age and older who are trained, receive a minimal stipend ($4 per hour), and work 15-20 hours a week. Individuals may have difficulty with daily living skills, and Senior Companions provide support for individuals to maintain their independence. Seniors may choose either In-Home Care where they receive four hours a day with a senior companion or Respite Care, where the companion relieves a caregiver who typically lives in the senior's home.
