Description

Provides support services, educational programs and community resources to help individuals and families in Merced County overcome diverse challenges through prevention, intervention, and support. Services offered include:

  • Parenting classes
    • Positive Discipline (8 week class)
    • Nurturing Parenting Substance Abuse Treatment and Recovery (17 weeks)
    • Caring For Children Who Have Experienced Trauma (8 weeks)
    • Triple P: Positive Parenting Solutions (8 weeks or 2 hour sessions)
  • Bi-weekly meetings with families and the Supportive On-Going Services panel provide wrap around services for families who are facing educational challenges with their child
  • Provides information to children and parents regarding community resources that are available to families to re-direct and prevent deeper involvement in the probation/court system
  • The Lisa Project
    • Through audio narration from a child's perspective visitors are guided room by room room through scenarios depicting abuse
  • Monthly community family wellness meetings in which individuals representing agencies, businesses, and school personnel from Merced County to share ideas, resources, and knowledge
  • ACEsINC Adverse Childhood Experiences
  • Family First Prevention Services
  • Community Resources
  • Steps to Housing
