Provides one-time, limited help to prevent homelessness due to unpaid rent. A "last-resort" option for households with no other resources, or at risk of homelessness without program aid.

Program cannot assist individuals who wish to move voluntarily. Those receiving help from the Housing Authority or another source do not qualify. Program assistance is not guaranteed, and funding may be limited.

Eligibility:	Households in San Joaquin County at imminent risk of homelessness (eviction or pay-or-quit notice) with income below 30% of the area median income for their household size (see income guidelines), and who can demonstrate that assistance will help maintain housing after receiving it.
