Offers emergency home repair assistance to very low-income owner-occupants of single family homes or mobile homes. Provides assistance to correct health and safety hazards. Areas covered by the grant include the cities of Sacramento, Galt, Folsom, and Isleton, as well as unincorporated areas of Sacramento County.

Repairs are limited to the following:

  • Roofing
  • Exterior entry doors
  • Exterior windows
  • Accessibility repairs and installation
  • Water heaters
  • Heating systems/cooling systems
  • Plumbing interior/exterior
  • Electrical
  • Gas lines (natural gas, CNG, propane)
  • Floors

Program Delivery
Eligibility: Very low-income owner-occupants of single-family homes or mobile homes. The home must be in need of a repair to resolve an immediate safety or health hazard, dangerous or hazardous condition, or fire or health code violation.
Availability: Up to 1 time every 1 year(s).
Languages: English
Application Process: Call to apply when applications are being accepted: June 1st through August 31st and November 1st through February 28th. Calls are only returned during this time.

Once eligibility is confirmed, a construction technician will call to schedule an appointment to inspect the property and schedule the work.
