Offers free, remote appointments with local attorneys who volunteer to help library users with legal questions. All types of legal issues and questions are welcome, but appointments are limited to consultation only (no assistance with document preparation or form completion).
Appointments are based on a lottery system. Appointment times are up to 20 minutes.

Any Sacramento County resident or any self-represented litigant with a case in Sacramento County Superior Court.
Applicants may receive two appointments per calendar year, with one from January to June and one from July to December.

Library users must enter the online lottery for an appointment. When the lottery is open, visit the website to submit an online form.
The lottery is open on certain Fridays for appointments the following Wednesday evening. Those selected to receive an appointment will be notified of their appointment time early the next week. Those who did not receive an appointment may enter the lottery again when it reopens.
