Supports a healthy, active, and nourished lifestyle by teaching Californians about good nutrition and how to stretch their food dollars, while also building partnerships in communities to make healthy choice, the easy choice.

Improves the nutritional health of low-income Californians by providing access to nutrition education, physical activity education and leadership towards healthy community initiatives.

  • Collaboration with local non-profit organization to promote Certified Farmer’s Market
  • Provide Nutrition Education and community resources for food insecurity
  • Program promotes the use of EBT at the Farmer’s Market to CalFresh eligible residents of Merced County
  • Provide food demonstrations and activities for children and adults to learn about healthy eating habits
  • Establish Market Match program to increase use of CalFresh EBT at Farmer’s Markets
