Responsible for performing disease surveillance, case investigations, and outbreak management. Provides education designed to help reduce the incidence of infectious disease in Merced County.

The Communicable Disease Unit provides a wide range of services including partner notifications, linkages to care, and disease education for schools, medical providers, and other institutions.
