Program: Oakland Paratransit for the Elderly and the Disabled (OPED)

Description
Offers adult persons with disabilities, seniors, and frail elderly with supplemental transportation services. Provide curb-to-curb and subsidized transportation service to participants who cannot access public transportation. Subsidizes taxicab or wheelchair van service for:
  • non-emergency medical appointments
  • shopping trips
  • other local destinations

Program Delivery
Eligibility: Applicants must be 18 or older and have a mobility disability.

Applicants age 18-69 with a mobility disability must be registered with East Bay Paratransit before submitting a registration form.

Applicants age 70 or older can submit a registration form without the requirement of being registered with East Bay Paratransit.
