Provides needed health care services for eligible low-income individuals and families.
Medi-Cal helps cover:
-Ambulatory patient services
-Emergency services
-Hospitalization
-Dental care which includes preventive and diagnostic services (Denti-Cal)
-Maternity and newborn care
-Mental health and substance use disorder services, including behavioral health treatment
-Prescription drugs
-Rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices
-Laboratory services.
-Preventive and wellness services
-Chronic disease management
-Pediatric services (including oral and vision care)
-Offers members Non-Emergency Medical Transportation on a case by case basis:
Non-Medical Transportation (NMT) for individuals who do not need special assistance
Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) for individuals who need special medical assistance or equipment
