SAROCA LONG-TERM CARE OMBUDSMAN
The Long Term Care Ombudsman is available to assist residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities with their complaints. The Ombudsman will thoroughly investigate and attempt to resolve all complaints received. Ombudsman complaints are kept confidential; Information is disclosed only under the direction of the person being assisted.
Services are:
Provide information about long term care options
Provide education about resident rights
Investigate complaints made by or on behalf of long term care residents
Make suggestions to family members and long term care facilities about ways to improve quality of life for residents
Make referrals to other agencies and organizations whose serves may be of benefit to residents.
Perform in services to educate facilities on topics related to the care of residents
Assist the facility in explaining to residents and family members their responsibilities to the facility and to the other residents
