Description

Provides affordable housing units which are rented out to eligible tenants such as low-income families, seniors, and disabled individuals. Housing units consist of a variety of apartments, duplexes, and single-family homes. Eligible applicants are placed on a waiting list and will be contacted when a housing unit for which they are eligible becomes available. Households pay a portion of their income toward rent each month depending on their income.

Eligibility: Low-income individuals and families whose income is less than the guidelines listed below.

Income-Based Eligibility Guidelines:
Household size of 1: monthly income of $3,904; annual income of $46,850
Household size of 2: monthly income of $4,463; annual income of $53,550
Household size of 3: monthly income of $5021; annual income of $60,250
Household size of 4: monthly income of $5,575; annual income of $66,900
Household size of 5: monthly income of $6,025; annual income of $72,300
Household size of 6: monthly income of $6,471; annual income of $77,650
Household size of 7: monthly income of $6,917; annual income of $83,000
Household size of 8: monthly income of $7,363; annual income of $88,350

Priority may be given based on the following factors:
- If the individual is a resident of or works in Sacramento County
- If someone in the household is disabled
- If the individual is rent burdened (the amount of rent paid compared to income)
- If the individual or a family member is a veteran
- If the individual is homeless

Application Process: Visit www.sacwaitlist.com to apply. An online pre-application must be submitted to determine eligibility for the program. Once approved, the applicant will be notified once there is a vacancy. Call for more information.
