Children in Sacramento County who are under the age of 18 and are victims of, or are at risk of, abuse, neglect, exploitation, or parental absence by their parents, guardians, or other caregivers (as defined by state statute).

Application Process:

All reports of suspected abuse or neglect should be made by calling the Child Abuse Hotline. Do not use the email "[email protected]" to report child abuse. Dial 9-1-1 if the child's life is at imminent risk.
If you are a mandated reporter, please follow these steps: Step 1: Reports must be called in to the 24-hour CPS Hotline. Step 2: During the call, obtain the passwords needed to complete the online Suspected Child Abuse Report. Step 3: Within 2 working days, complete an online Suspected Child Abuse Report. Step 4: Once forms have been completed, save a copy of the report.
