Helps eligible foster youth, between the ages of 16 and 21, achieve self-sufficiency before and after exiting the foster care system. Services available to help youth prepare for adulthood include:

Program Delivery
Eligibility: Current and former foster youth ages 16 to 21 living in Sacramento County.
Youth must meet the California Department of Social Services guidelines for eligibility. Youth shall be eligible for ILP services up to their 21st birthday if one of the following guidelines is met:
- Youth was/is in foster care at any time from their 16th to their 19th birthday.
- Youth was/is 16 years of age up to 18 years of age and in receipt of the Kinship Guardianship Assistance Payment Program (KinGap).

Services are based on need and availability of funding.
Languages: Translation services are available for multiple languages upon request. American Sign Language Interpreter available on request, English
Application Process: Youth may be referred to the program by social workers, probation officers, foster parents, other county ILP coordinators, or by self-referral. Call for more information.
