Description
Collects child support payments for families, locates parents obligated to pay support, establishes parentage, obtains child support court orders, and collects payments pursuant to court orders for support.
Unmarried parents seeking to sign a declaration of parentage for their child(ren) can contact the Sacramento County Department of Child Support Services. Parents do not need to open a child support case to sign a declaration of parentage. View additional establishing parentage information.
Child support agency court hearings are held at the William R. Ridgeway Family Relations Courthouse. This information is included in all court hearing documents and can also be obtained by contacting the child support office directly.
Child support payments can be made:

- In person at the Child Support Services Customer Service Center

The Debt Reduction Program is available for parents to reduce the past-due child support they owe. This is for cases where the state supported the family while the dependent children in a child support case were on public assistance or in foster care.
