Offers a full range of comprehensive health care services including medical, surgical, primary, and mental health care, home health care, pharmacy, PTSD care, and a veterans crisis hotline. Durable medical equipment and incontinence supplies may be covered with a physician's order. The medical center offers a wide range of outpatient and diagnostic services, including mammography, MRI, CT, and PET scanning.

Crisis Text services are available 24/7. 

The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) provides free van rides to and from VA Northern California health care facilities to Veterans who don’t have other transportation options. Find more information, including how to schedule a ride, here.

Program Hours:
VA Medical Center Administration: Monday through Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm;
Emergency Department: Seven days a week, 24-hours
Description: Located near the intersection of Mather Field Road and McCuen Boulevard.

Program Delivery
Eligibility: Veterans and TRICARE patients.
Languages: Translation services are available for multiple languages. American Sign Language Interpreter available on request, English
Application Process: Appointments are required. Call for registration information or walk-in with discharge papers (DD form 214). Veterans interested in using the shuttle service must sign up in advance by making reservations with the Travel Clerk, Main Reception or transportation.
Payment methods:
Program Fees: Medication fee for non-service connected conditions; medical care co-payments for certain veterans.
Documents Required: What to bring with a VA health care application:
- Copies of the DD214 or other discharge documents;
- Copies of any VA disability award letters held;
- Income information from the previous calendar year, if client has a 0% VA disability rating or if they are a non-service-connected Veteran;
- Copies of current ID cards for any other types of health coverage that may be had (like Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, or private health insurance).
