Website providing storm preparedness information for City of Folsom residents. Helps residents prepare for winter storms that could cause localized flooding, dangerous driving conditions, and extended power outages.

  • Provides information on free sandbag pick-up. Sandbags can be used to prevent or reduce flood damage. Pick-up location is open year-round.
  • Provides phone numbers for reporting non-emergency storm-related hazards, such as localized flooding, fallen trees or limbs, and plugged storm drains, as well as downed/out street signs and traffic signals.
  • Provides information on reporting storm-related emergencies, such as downed power lines and downed trees on live wires.
  • Provides ways to stay informed during storms/emergencies.

Program Hours:
Sandbag Pick-Up: Seven days a week, 24-hours - during rain events;
Non-Emergency Storm-Related Hazards: Monday through Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm;
Public Works Department: Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
Description: Located near the intersection of Natoma Street and Wales Drive. Pick-up location is next to City Hall, behind the Folsom Senior & Art Center.

Application Process: - Walk-in to pick up sandbags. Bring a shovel as shovels are not provided.
- Report non-emergency storm-related hazards as well as downed/out street signs and traffic signals by phone or using the SeeClickFix Folsom mobile app. The app allows individuals to report, document, and monitor a variety of neighbor­hood concerns and improvements.
- Report storm-related emergencies by calling 9-1-1.
